In the Briar Patch, May 26-29


Here in the briar patch, we’ve had lots of rain, thunderstorms mostly, punctuated by hot weather. And new books for summer reading keep rolling in, too.

Wild roses.
First daylily of the season. We have domesticated varieties also, but this is the wild kind that grows along roadsides and stream banks.

One of our "pet" snapping turtles in the water garden. This one has lived here five years now.
